仍然 goes before the verb or adjective and is a little more formal than 还, so it often appears in writing.

   下雨了，他仍然去跑步。

   Xià yǔ le, tā réngrán qù pǎobù.

   It started raining, but he still goes running.

   十年过去了，她仍然住在这里。

   Shí nián guòqù le, tā réngrán zhù zài zhèlǐ.

   I took the medicine, but I still don't feel well.
